Door Knocker

8 May 2008 4 Comments

This picture is for Peter and BTR. This was the frog shaped door knocker on the green main door we were talking about in my previous post.

The brass made knocker is quite old and signs of wear & tear are visible.

Hi Cuckoo! Amazing Knocker! Loved to see your post on the Araújo Alvares house and museum… Another one to put on my list for my trip to Goa! I wish I had time to get there when our friends landed there last February…
Thanks for your comment on Blogtrotter, where I’m now in Casablanca, however missing Ilsa Lund… ;(
Hope you have a great weekend!

Aha !! That’s a cutie, it has a patina finish which makes it look old. And to answer your question. There is a place in India -where you go with your design and they will make a mould of your subject , pour hot liquid brass and after it has cooled down you get what you want :) )

thanks a ton for sharing !!!
