Shortcut to reach God

24 July 2009 14 Comments

In India if you do not have time to enter a temple for a one-o-one chat with the God, then you can very well request His assistant or attendant by whispering your messages in his ears. You are rest assured, your messages will be conveyed to the God.

Yes, when there is a long queue to meet God and you are short on time, you can bribe His assistant !

If you find the waiting queue very discouraging….

take a shortcut by whispering your wishes in his ears……..

make sure his other ear is covered so that the words remain inside him.
(Ek kaan se sunkar doosre se na nikaal de)

At the end of the day when no one is disturbing the God, the vahana* will pour out all the messages of worshippers in front of Him.

Isn’t Hindu mythology fascinating ?

Note:- A mouse is a vahana (a mount, an assistant or attendant) of Lord Ganesha. Ganesha is often shown riding on or attended by a mouse or rat. One can find it near any Ganesha idol and in front of most Ganesha temples.

Location:- Ganapati Temple, Ganapatipule
And the mouse is made of fibre glass.

    Rocksea,
    :)

I am yet to write in detail about this amazing place. It is said that this temple of Lord Ganesha emerged out of sand. And yes, it has one of the cleanest beaches in India.

    Manish,
Ganapatipule is in Maharashtra along the Konkan belt. An overnight journey by train from Mumbai. :)

Wait for my detailed post on it.

I hope mice have good memories. Interesting that they’re revered while in the west mice and rats are mostly looked down upon.

    Cuckoo,
While you were there, did you also whisper in the ear to take a shortcut to God?
