Hello

10 September 2009 13 Comments

Hello All,

This is your new hostess Nisha. As some of you know, this blog is handed over to us by Cuckoo.
I used to read her blog and sometime back had asked for her help in setting up my own travel blog. Recently she contacted me and popped up the question of owning her blog.
I was both exhilarated and sad.

Nonetheless, I will try to serve you same menu but it is going to be with different flavour and recipe. I will try to match Cuckoo’s writing skills. I am also given access to all her photos for this blog but I’ll try to keep their usage to minimum.

I am still learning the nitty-gritty’s. She has given me her list of blogs to which I will add mine. Will start reading and visiting slowly. Please give me some time.

Before I end, let me do a small self-introduction. I am from Mumbai and a travel enthusiast. Both my husband V and I travel but to different places and for different reasons and sometimes we bump into each other. :)
I am basically a backpacker and more into solo. My idea of travelling is counting no. of memories and not no. of places. Other things will slowly open up as and when you get to know us better.

I do hope you’ll extend the same love and support to me as you have given to her.
Till then ciao !

Well it seemed Cuckoo was not finding enough time to handle this blog. After all she has many other blogs.

Hope to hear some interesting travelogues from you Nisha. Happy blogging !

I met her only a month ago online and now she is gone already.. Can’t believe this. All the best Nisha, looking forward to read some interesting articles here.

It is actually painful to see Cuckoo go. This blog is not just a personal travelogue but a travel guide in an informal way.

She has helped me in past guiding & planning for my trip. I remember when I told I have a small physically disabled kid, she went out of her way to find out the facilities and services and guided me on that. I am ever grateful to her.
I am sure others also have such experiences.

    @Manish
Without knowing the reason you can not comment like this. She was always very helpful to her readers. If you don’t know besides many blogs, she was member of some community services also and she was doing good there also. I dont think you have ever read her other blogs. Sorry dude, your opinion is biased.

    Nisha,

I think all readers are curious to know why Cuckoo stopped blogging all of a sudden and without any explanation to her loyal readers?

    Can you enlighten us?

For a popular blogger like her, it must have been an unavoidable personal reason. I do not know the details, nor I wish to prod her for that.

    Hi Nisha,
We’ll miss the bubbling personality of Cuckoo but glad you are going to keep her blog alive. I wish you all the best.

    Hi Nisha,

Welcome!! U have a tough job ahead and to fill cuckoo’s shoe is difficult. But my best wishes that you carry on from here so far so good. I contradicted some views from cuckoo & hoped to get some reply from her.
