Lycee Francais at Victor Simonel Street

11 October 2009 5 Comments

Lycee Francais at Victor Simonel Street.

It was established in 1826. This institute still imparts education to hundreds of Pondicherrians in French.

Can you see a half statue in the premises ?

Special permission is required to visit this colonial place.

We didn’t have any, so had to be content with photographing it from the main door only.

Look nice and somehow similar to the high school I attended in France – minus the local “jungle” feeling! :-)

No, it is not, as far as I remember. The Alliance Francaise was in some other building, near a commercial place.

Let me have some more info on that.
Well, I like the word ‘Le Monde’ meaning the ‘The world’ which is what this blog talks about. :)
