Taste of India

10 November 2009 12 Comments

Today I received this image of India as an e-mail forward and it depicts different foods from different parts of India. Felt like sharing with you all.
I have not heard of even half of them, let alone taste ! Real mouth watering specialties loaded with sensory stimuli waiting to treat your taste buds.

How many of them have you tasted ? Click on the map for a larger view.

Wow- so much more to ‘taste’ :) Something good to look forward to. I was glad I at least recognize about 3/4 the names- however, I was sad that I haven’t even tried 1/4 of the names– aaah, but something to challenge myself with :)

Hmm… I can say that most of the vegetarian listed in the bottom half (South India) and West India have been tried and much relished.
The ones in North have been looksied but have some weird names. But amazing way to promote Incredible India.

    Really cool!

It does help me a bit, because I’m always lost when it comes to regional specialties.

Not sure how many total I’ve tasted but I’ve certainly put a dent in that map. I’m a big fan of Indian cuisine.

    Anil,
Good. Make a bigger dent when you come next time. :)
