On a whirlwind trip to Delhi. The flight back is delayed. As I type this sitting at the airport, one thought comes across. Has Delhi changed over these years?

In looks, there is noticeable difference between a Thai Buddhist temple and a Burmese Buddhist temple. And I thought Buddhist temple is just a Buddhist temple ! Not Thai, Burmese or Chinese etc.

India is a country of contrasts.
Myriad of people, chaos, noise, muck, beggars but still rich in warmth and hospitality. Overcrowded trains and buses drive you till crazy and yet they reach you safely to your destinations. Cities are a mix of old heritage buildings and modern infrastructures.
The sight of slums next door to expensive, elegant skyscrapers with apartments owned by billionaires and billboards advertising designer clothes merely reflects a fact of Indian life.

Those who are accustomed to

High rise buildings, trees, hills, morning haze and a rising sun. A perfect start for a beautiful day.
