LRT train in Kuala Lumpur
LRT = Light Rail Transit (metro or local as you wish to call it)
Masjid Jamek is an interchange station in Kuala Lumpur where you change LRT trains to catch trains for other lines. (Indian examples are Dadar in Mumbai or Rajiv Chowk in Delhi).
Lost in my thoughts, I was waiting at the station to take a train on Ampang line to go to my hotel. It was raining off & on making me wonder what would I do once I reach my destination. My hotel was around 8-10 minutes walk from station and I wasn’t carrying anything to protect myself from rain.
Then I saw my train pulling up; suddenly felt urge to video shoot it instead of worrying about the rain. ![]()
By the time I took out my camera it was already there ! The result is this very small video which I have uploaded on youtube. Have a look.
P.S.- Don’t blame me if you have to bend your neck, I was in a hurry.
P.P.S.- I have another long one from inside the train. Will upload it sometime.

Fast forward it and it’s like an action scene in a movie. Good looking train too

loved the video- had a nice time bending my neck at the beginning
but then straightening up as the train came to a stop. Its amazing to see the LRT- I’ve never ridden on the one in KL although I’ve been to KL countless times. I’m sure it is more enjoyable that sitting in the heavy traffic- which is what I most often do when I’m there.

Very nice video. Small video is good. If it is lengthy it requires editing to make it small. Your is just the right size.
Also please write more about KL

Anjuli,
That’s the difference between a local and a traveler.
Locals own a car and know the most minute details of a place to drive in whereas we travelers neither own a vehicle nor would want to venture into one.
Public transport has many benefits for us.

Thank you.

Nice video. Just imagine if you had tried something like this in a Mumbai station. You would have had a mass of humanity and no train!
