I’d also check Gmail > Settings > Browser Connection > Always use HTTPS if it’s not on.

I have changed the password for my mail account and that’s it. I don’t know what else can be done.
I use Akismet.

Oh my goodness!!!! I hope things all get sorted out- it is truly frustrating to have to deal with all these things at the same time.
Especially the hacking issue- I really hope you sort that out.
