Adventure at Sajan
If you are connected to me via Facebook or Twitter, then you are aware that I had gone for a short trip near Mumbai, courtesy Sajan Nature club. Initially I was tweeting on the way giving clues where I was headed to but then after sometime the network conked off.
The name suggested it to be a quiet, laid-back and close to nature place. But I was in for a surprise! It turned out to be much more than that.
Besides lazing around, listening to chirping of birds and whispers of cool breeze in the campus, I enjoyed their adventure activities which they have plenty to offer. I was up for everything and people wondered what I was upto. ![]()
The activities I liked best were valley crossing, kayaking and rappelling.

You are looking it right. The photo is not tilted.
Well, it was not first time for me, and I felt the activities were quite easy and good even if you are a beginner. The trained and experienced instructors make things easy for you but first you need that initial courage and some level of fitness to go for it.
Ummm… did I tell you, I was nursing my shoulder and V was quite concerned about my adventures?
And since I was doing it after quite a long, I could not stop after one round. ![]()
Bemused, the instructor asked me, “Madam, fir se (again)?”
I smiled and nodded ‘yes’.
Situated at a distance of around 100 KMs from Mumbai, the place is ideal for a weekend getaway. More on this later.
