Picture of the moment: Chotiwala at Rishikesh
Picture of the moment is a weekly series exhibiting pictures, through which I show you a bit of my world.
By the time you read this post, I would have reached Haridwar & if possible, Rishikesh.

Yes, you read me right. I am trying my luck once again for valley of flowers. Last year when we left Mumbai, the weather was good, health was perfect but I guess the time was wrong. Right from Haridwar we were surrounded by Kavari’s who were also moving towards Rishikesh. The crowd did not let us move fast and the entire region was extremely polluted.

Instead of spending just a night at Rishikesh, we stayed for full 3 days ! And after spending one more night at Rudraprayag, we had decided to go back because my fever had refused to come down.

It’s real !! Chotiwala sits on an altar in front of the restaurant and nobody moves ahead without clicking him..

This year it has been raining heavily and there have been news of several landslides, cloudburst and buses falling into valley. We still wanted to give it a try.
And this post came handy when it was time to pack my things.

By this hour I would probably be resting after satiating myself with a sumptuous thali at Chotiwala.
