Off late I have been reading a lot about Turkey and enjoying holidays in Turkey is high on my list. Did you know Turkey is one of the very few countries in the world which span across 2 continents, Europe and Asia ? Turkey is vast and its expanse boasts of awesome landscapes and natural wonders surrounded by different seas. It is as great a destination for relaxing beaches on its Mediterranean and Aegean coasts as for some of the world’s most magnificent ancient monuments, not to mention about the …

In Malaysia, my way of trying a juice was to put my finger on a name and ask for it. I refused to see a dictionary for its meaning or ask somebody who knew English. I wanted to know them by taste.
At times it resulted in disastrous distasteful situations but I was also glad that I could pick up some names. Also, I paid attention when they pronounced the names.
I have tried each one of these and a few more which are not mentioned in this list. My favourite was …

One of the major attractions of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is majestic Petronas, the twin towers and it is definitely a ‘must visit’ place. People come to Kuala Lumpur with tight schedule thinking they can cover all major landmarks in a day before heading to more ‘attractive’ places of this beautiful country. The travel packages also do not include going up the Petronas in their itinerary. All they do is to take a round and show it from outside.
And I, myself could see Petronas only in my third attempt. Why ?

This was the day when I could finally see Petronas. It was around an hour from my hotel to this place and I was there by 6:35 AM ! Read again, it’s AM !!
After getting my reservation ticket I haughtily kept it safe and came out to start exploring the city. I found many new places which certainly existed but I didn’t know about.
I wasn’t carrying any heavy bag… only my camera, my cap and a small shoulder pouch with all important papers which you need to carry in …

The life is fast. In this mechanical era, no one has time to sit and breathe. At the same time one also likes to continue with age old customs and rituals. But who has time to do things in traditional way ?
Look at the picture below. Though I was apprehensive of clicking this photo, I also wanted to show it to my people back home.
Traditionally worshipping or ‘pooja‘ of God is done with lighting the incense sticks and candles (diya), chanting of some mantras, ringing the bells etc.
Here is a …

Travellers have certain amount of vulnerability and uncertainty attached to them. They are not aware of the tricks played by locals and they invariably fall for it.
I was no exception and at times I too fell for certain tricks.
1. Hotels & credit cards – After a tiring bus journey to a new town & after checking 3-4 hotels/guest houses as per my budget I did not have anymore strength or patience. Then I check the last decent place. It has fair tariff, and accepts credit cards as well ! Since …

The twin towers of Kuala Lumpur are better known as Petronas. It is a must see in the city considering the breath taking view you get from up there. And I heard a few Bond movies were shot there as well.

Up, up & up…..
I have around 100 photos of it. Why? Because I could see Petronas only in my third attempt. Every time I went there,
