This famous private museum is one of the main attractions of Malacca.
This museum illustrates how rich and affluent Chinese merchants came here and settled down. The first merchant married a local Malay girl and thus they became the first couple of this dynasty and so the name of this museum.

When we go out of our house even for a few hours, the most common thing that we need first, is water. I generally carry a bottle of water with me but it is not always possible. This is more true if we are out to a different place or country.
Nevertheless, albeit small, daily we end up spending a few bucks on mineral water alone.
Like any other country, in Malaysia one can get a variety of mineral water starting from RM 2.20 upwards (Malaysian mineral water bought in a food …

As I said earlier, the main religion of Malaysia is Islam but other religions are also respected and have their own place. On the same note, one can see school going kids of different religions going to same school donning uniforms as per their own choice.

Where they have Muslim girls covered from head to toe….

They also have girls studying in the same standard wearing shorts and a T-shirt.

Come to Malacca, and the first thing you’ll notice is them. Trishaws.
Lots of them.

So, it was Malacca. Time around 10 PM and we were taking an after dinner stroll. The tranquil river Malacca was looking at its best like a beautiful bride with colorful lights decorating it. Very far in the background we could see giant ‘Eye of Malacca‘ taking a rest for a while.
In this small UNESCO heritage town, the traffic was reduced to minimal at this hour.
The bridge, the main junction and the streets were very brightly lit. So …

True to its claim, Malaysia is really a reflection of Asia in every manner. Beautiful in its own way. The major touristy cities are busy and bustling with life while the hills are quiet and calm. The people are very helpful and friendly everywhere even if they don’t understand your language.

Trisha in Malacca
I consider myself a traveler more than a tourist. Obviously, we wanted to see and live the real Malaysia. We wanted to see its people and learn something about them and their country. So, booking a packaged tour …

Back to Kuala Lumpur. And so we have come to the end of a long and pleasant vacation break for us, almost a second honeymoon.
Or is it third or fourth or.. ? There. You get my point.
Tomorrow late evening is our flight to Mumbai. Will be back to normal chaos and normal life and normal blogging.
P.S.- In the background you can see ‘Eye of Malacca’, the biggest giant wheel of Malaysia. It is claimed to be even bigger than ‘Eye of London’. I have to check that.

Cameron Highlands, Malaysia »

We are in Cameron Highlands now. It took almost full one day to reach here instead of normal 4 hours. Why ? Not now, some other time.
It’s a hill station. First impression of this place is Simla but much bigger in size. For example if we assume it to be a Mahabaleshwar then it is at least 10 times of that place. And more cleaner as well. Many Tamilians are settled here and I saw some cross between them and Chinese also !
We reached here at around 6, …
