Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi is famous for these deep fried snacks.  Sweet Thekua, namakparas, samosas, kachoris, besan kaju and what not, with at least 5 varieties of each.
They are equally rich in taste and oil. The containers have holes in bottom and are placed on top of canisters for draining off extra oil.
They always use paper bags to pack and within

I would love to be in this school. No, this is not a scene from mythological, historical ruins but an unique modern international school. The school “Rishi Valley School” is a modern Gurukulam based on Jiddu Krishnamurthy’s principles.
Classes are held in open on stone benches. There are no day scholars and the teachers too live in the campus. There are many international students at all levels and a long queue to get into the school.

India can be termed as God-intoxicated country. There is no situation, environment or place that the Indian does not have a god for.

There are gods for vegetation, for weather, for nature, for geographical areas, for villages, for the house, in the temples, in running water, gods in deepest forest and in icy mountain heights.

And this garden made my day. I was completely awestruck by its beauty. There was a riot of colors around me.. the flowers were vibrant, the trees had so many different colored leaves. I had never imagined it to be so spectacular. Also, there was a film shooting going on for some …

Schaffhausen Falls

Schaffhausen waterfall is on river Rhine and is the largest plain waterfall in Europe. Very forceful, full of water in any season and a treat to watch. In summer, one can take a boat to the large rock in the center of the falls for an even more impressive view.
Schaffhausen is Switzerland’s northernmost urban outpost almost touching Germany and can be reached from Zurich in around 40 minutes by train.
A trip to Zurich is incomplete if you have not been to this picturesque place.
More later in a detailed post.
Technorati …
