I hope you’ve read my article on Flamenco dancing. If not, please do so to understand the intricacies before you watch the video.
Flamenco is a traditional dance form of Spain. A genre of Spanish music, song, and dance from Andalusia in southern Spain, Flamenco dance is an expressive Spanish dance characterized by four elements namely, cante (singing), toque (guitar playing), baile (dance) and palmas (handclaps) to portray emotion to an audience.
It started with just the singing, along with hand clapping. Later the Spanish flamenco guitar was added. The movements also …

Street performer in Spain
This was in Segovia. We were entering the Alcázar of Segovia, literally, Segovia Castle… a stone fortification. He was at the gate singing soulful heart rending songs. His voice had emotions.
A stool, an amp, a mic, a guitar and an opened guitar case with some notes & coins in it. His possessions could be counted on one hand. But his real possession was his voice.
He asked where we are from.
“India”.
“Oh, I have been to Goa. It’s a lovely place.”
I thanked and smiled. And wondered how many street …

Today we are going to watch a video that I shot a few months back.
A Warli painter was demonstrating his skills. I asked him to tell history of Warli paintings so that I can record and show to the world. To say he was very happy, would be an understatement.
When I requested him to narrate in Hindi for a broader audience, he readily agreed. Normally he does it in Marathi, his mother tongue.

Our canoe was attached to …

If you are following me on Twitter, you’d have known that we had stopped at a small place called Sevok in West Bengal to satiate our hungry stomachs.
There, a little far from our table, we saw a group of locals playing this game. The group was making some sounds which made us curious. Language barrier and lack of time played against us in understanding the game.
Later when I came back, I searched on the net but could not find any information. I have already written here whatever I could gather …
Australia, Sydney »
Before I start telling you the details of Aurangabad trip or show you more photos, I take you to Sydney in Australia.
Here is a video shot on the streets of Sydney near Circular Quay, one of my favourite places to spend time. Come weekend and like in any other tourist place in this world, the streets are full of activities.
A street performer was demonstrating his art of doing spray painting to earn a few bucks. And he took less than 4 minutes to do it.
Even before he completes his first …
