Nisha:- Born, brought up & living in India and travelling the world. Loves to explore the world for those small little things.
Alone, with partner, or in a group, it doesn’t matter. Nisha believes a journey is more important than the company.
Traveling is her passion and stress buster; her strength and her weakness too. Her idea of traveling is counting number of memories, and not places. Still if you insist to know, here’s the list.
Nothing excites her more than learning, enjoying and relishing life’s simple little pleasures about new places, people and cultures through this poetic travail.
She believes in “सैर कर दुनिया की ग़ालिब, ज़िंदगानी फिर कहाँ ….”.
A good human being with a bit of many things.
A few things to her credit includes her blog being featured in Asian Traveller, her articles have been used in a Japanese short movie and in a few schools in USA as course curriculum. Her recipe for international backpackers is the first among the winning recipes and is now a part of Recipe guide of Hostelbookers.com which is circulated in more than 20,000 hostels around the world.
Nisha has been invited by Tourism boards, ministries and airlines of several countries as their guest… Spain, Turkey, Mauritius, Poland, Israel, Jordan, Malaysia, Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Indonesia, Singapore to name a few.
She has also been invited to speak on various travel related topics in international conferences such as the first International Travel Blogger’s conference and award held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It is a matter of pride that Nisha is the first Indian Travel Blogger to be invited for any FAM trip by any country.
She was empaneled as a Tripper on Fox Traveller, a leading Travel & Lifestyle Channel.
Nisha has been featured, interviewed innumerable times on print and digital media as well as on international radio and TV. You can see some examples here.
She is also a bilingual travel writer, writing for international and national publications & websites.
Vasu:- Vasu has had an extensive and reasonably successful corporate career. Although he was able to practice one of his passions, that for travelling, in terms of visiting several places but it was never the type of travelling he likes to do, which is, stay there for a while and imbibe the culture bit by bit. There were other passions that had taken a back seat during all these years.
On a certain day he realized he had gotten into a comfort zone and decided enough was enough; that he was through with all of it and quit, to start allover again! Taking cue from Nisha’s carefree and self-contended life, he has made a humble beginning of joining Nisha in her ongoing venture of www.lemonicks.com and will be helping out in travelling (has promised to carry luggage) ;), writing, photography and technology matters. The transformation is happening slowly (he still likes to catch up with his sleep, still having a gala time watching his favourite TV serial CID) 🙂 but he hopes to make a worthy partner one day soon!
Vasu has also been an avid photographer since his teens ever since he got his first film camera (something similar to a basic Agfa but Indian made) and later was given a more professional looking RolleiFlex). In fact during his college days he was also a photojournalist for a Sri Lankan Tamil Magazine! Sometime back he decided to create a photoblog of his photos too. He is also a voracious reader and an ardent music lover.
Nisha and Vasu are an excellent mix of north & south…. Poles apart in general, but when it comes to travel, they pursue the same passion.
