Hello from Malaysia

When I said Bye to you in my last post, I was flying to Turkey. And Hello from Malaysia now?
Well, the week long trip to Turkey has ended and I am in Malaysia right now. ๐Ÿ˜€

It so happened that I, along with a senior journalist from Delhi, was chosen from India to cover the Ramadan festival in Malaysia. The news came to me just 2 days before I flew to Turkey ! I was to fly out on the same day I would have returned from Turkey.

I love adventures of travel. ๐Ÿ™‚
My passport was in Delhi to process the Turkish visa and would come in my hands only on the day of my travel! That itself was enough to give me high blood pressure before my journey.

Though I always had multi entry one year Malaysian visa, I wasn’t sure of the date and that if it had expired ! I conveyed my concern to the tourism department of Malaysia and they requested me to rush to the Consulate with my passport as soon as I get it from Delhi on the day of my travel. Rest all they would manage, I was assured and I could take my flight to Turkey.

Sounds easy? Well, it takes 2:30 hours (min.) one way on a normal day to commute to the Consulate, much more in incessant rains of peak monsoon season. It gave me enough stress. Fortunately, when I had my passport, I still had a valid visa!

When I returned from Turkey, I spent 1 & half hours at the airport due to various mismanagement at the airport. When I reached home, I had exactly 5 hours to unpack/pack, change currency & relevant travel docs, take shower, cook food, call both the mothers (half an hour each), go out in heavy rain to print e-ticket, bank, car, water the plants, etc etc etc. Actually it was more than that.

Anyway, all is well that ends well. My colleague says I am an adventurous traveler. ๐Ÿ™‚ At present I am feasting on local delicacies here in Kuala Lumpur and am pampered very well. You can see some photos here which I have uploaded.

Warning: Expect some posts on food. ๐Ÿ˜€
