Hot bubbling tea.
Among hot beverages of Malaysia, it is considered as national drink.
It is served hot and prepared in a similar way we prepare coffee in south, pulling it from one tumbler to another. But do you see something strange in this photo ?
Look again !
There are some ice cubes in the saucer !
I broke my head thinking why so. When something is served boiling hot, why the bottom is being cooled?
I tried to ask but since I was dealing with absolute locals all through my trips, language was a major barrier. And sign language is not always as effective as we want it to be. 🙂
Most of the times, answer of ‘why’ will be given as answer to ‘what’.
Probably Anjuli can help here. 🙂
