Looking back at Year 2014

Looking back at Year 2014

I know it’s so cliche to reflect back on the year that was, but it’s something we all think is important to do. It is that time again to look back and see how enriching our walk has been. These walks, these journeys opened a new horizon in front of me and helped me see the world with diverse perceptions.
As I always say, I count my memories, not places and I am happy that my travel memories are far more and better than the destinations.

Do you play with Instagram?
I do. Sometimes.
Why sometimes? Because when I enjoy a place I forget about clicking pictures, let alone sharing them, instantly then and there. 🙂
Nonetheless, here are a few pictures that I had managed to Instagram when I was in Abu Dhabi. Presenting you the story of Abu Dhabi in Instagram.
On that note, here is my Instagram account. You may love to follow it for these glimpses from across the world.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The word ‘grand’ in ‘Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque’, is not just a word, it tells us how grand the mosque really is! Everything is larger than life in this mosque of size of five football fields. Only natural materials have been used in the mosque such as marble, crystal ceramics, semi-precious stones, mother of pearl and even gold. As I enter the mosque, I am blinded by the sheer white of the 82 domes.

Top 8 Interesting buildings of Abu Dhabi

Top 8 Interesting buildings of Abu Dhabi

As I mentioned earlier, there are many things in Abu Dhabi which have a tag of ‘largest’, ‘fastest’ etc.
May I add ‘weirdest’ and ‘smartest’ as well? In my opinion, Abu Dhabi is the hub of strange and interesting buildings.
Have a look.
