Zaragosa, a windy town

Today early morning (started at 5:30 AM) we headed to Barcelona airport. Saying Goodbye is always a difficult task but had to do it to my new friends who were going back to India.

After that started my ‘Me’ time…. solo travel in Spain. Took a Renfe train for Zaragosa. During the one & half hour journey the train got delayed by 2 minutes and the announcer was profusely apologizing for it. Quite unheard of it in India? 😛

The cabs in this little town are white in color. No two colors, only white.
I found Zaragosa, a mix of old & modern. And I visited both. Such a lovely town!

Zaragosa is extremely windy, more than what I’ve ever experienced in Spain till now and that makes it cold too. It was so windy that I was unable to stand in one place steadily, let alone holding a camera. Fortunately it was bright sunny day and looking at my photos I am not complaining anymore.
More on the town later.

Tomorrow I head to another very small town.

Till then Adiós.

  1. In India the general response would be “we have reached somehow or the other is’nt it” 🙂 🙂

The pictures are very beautiful and very european.
You have captured the so called modern in the second picture. The modern is an eye-sore when compared to the old. 🙂

  2. Arvi,
Yes, there is so much of cultural /civic gap between India and these European countries. 🙂

Glad that you liked the pictures.
Well, I wanted to show you both sides of the town.
Wait for my posts on it.

  3. I didn’t have idea that Zaragoza is so windy, I have been much in the region and costa Brava and Basque Country but never managed to get there, but I will, great picture of the clock tower indeed!
